The consortium is composed of large companies (Airbus, Eurocopter, Dassault Aviation), SMEs (2MoRO, EA Services, Vinci Consulting) and laboratories (IMS, LaBRI). They propose to develop a demonstrator of a secured and scalable system enabling the interconnection of heterogeneous information systems fo the benefit of aircraft maintenance stakeholders as MRO.

The increasing complexity of aircraft involves the orchestration of the various stakeholders throughout the aircraft lifecycle to control airworthiness and design and operation costs, including those related to maintenance. Sharing large amount of data between stakeholders of all sizes throughout the aircraft lifecycle, which is often more than thirty years, is therefore a main
requirement to optimize business processes and create value.
Certified by Aerospace valley, Pegase and supported by ASTech, the 6 M€ project has been selected to be co-funded by French authorities in the framework of the 9th call of FUI. SIMID was launched in March 2011 for a period of three years.
