THE IMS is a mixed unity of research (UMR 5218) connected with University of Bordeaux 1, IPB and the CNRS.L' IMS is structured in groups of research. The group Industrial automation (Historically GRAI) is involved in this project. This group gets involved in the definition of methodology of analysis, modelling and driving of the Companies of production of the properties or the services. Three themes distinguish themselves: (1) Decision-making support and Driving of the systems of production, (2) Modelling of Company, Interoperability and Performance for the modelling of the systems with the aim of their engineering, finally (3) Engineering of the Conception for the support in the activity of conception of new products in engineering consulting firm.

LaBRI – University of Bordeaux, Research Center, Talence, Aquitaine

The LaBRI is a unity of research associated with CNRS(NATIONAL CENTER FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH), with University of Bordeaux 1, with IPB and with University of Bordeaux 2. Since 2002, it is partner of the Inria. The laboratory is made up of 6 teams:

Combinatorial and Algorithmics, Image and Sound, Languages, Systems and Networks, Formal, model Methods and algorithms for the Biocomputing and the displayof information, Support and Algorithms for the high performances Numeric applications. In partnership with Inria, about ten common projects were born.

Integrated into varied networks, the LaBRI collaborates actively, on the international, European and French plans, with numerous laboratories, big industrialists and multiple SMEs/SMIs on projects of R&D.
